The National Novel Writing Month became a bloated organization catering to the worst elements in the publishing industry, but artificial intelligence may have killed it.

this is so sick as a former user I can say they never helped me with my book or website in all I saw first hand how all the so called team volunteers were more interested in grooming than aiding authors so I told them off and left.
Sad to see them ruin Nanowrimo, I really liked the idea and what not. Oh well, one thing though Jon, stop complimenting them and calling them SJWs, Cancel-Pigs is the new more acceptable term....
If you want to novel writing month? You can actually do that at any time, at this point in the game there's so many tools and stuff out there about how to schedule and eventually publish your own work, that you really don't need a "volunteering" org for it. If you've got a group of honest friends that want to partake in it, that's all you really need.
Outside of the website with the tracking tools and the forums. What else does it provide besides the name? It was a great idea. Perhaps FP can fork those tools.
