Not to be a jerk but 2 stores does not equal multiple. I know why one would think it does but it doesn't; it takes 3 or more. Lookup the definition of multiple and it references several. Look up the definition of Several and it says more than 2. I say this b/c the pro-woke are going to use this to claim your headline is misleading.
The dictionary definition is literally "more than one"(from several seperate dictionaries). Your logic of referencing a synonym of the word doesn't equate to a change in definition of the word in question. Jump mental hoops all you want if it makes you feel superior.

But it's simply insane to suggest that either of the Williams sisters could have ever gone up against competitive male tennis players. How do we know this? Because both Serena and Venus lost to Karsten Braasch in 1998, a male player ranked 203rd.

Most people choose their hobbies and their movies because they want a little diversion and escapism from an often shitty world- they don't tune in or tune out because they want a lecture from ill-informed midwits who probably haven't even read Tricia Rose.
In the last couple of years we have at least started to get films through the pipeline which don't insist upon the insertion of a CGI-assisted strong female lead, but between 2000 and 2020, can you even name me five action movies without kickass strong female leads, better than their much maligned and denigrated male leads, in everyway imaginable?

Even Emily Blunt said as much, and this from a woman whose sci fi movie Edge of Tomorrow was actually well-written and well-made, if heavily underrated (for no reason other than a last minute name change, piss poor promotion and poor distribution).
It's worth noting that Edge of Tomorrow was one of the very few 'strong female lead' roles which actually had a decent character arc. The other reasonable example is probably Old Guard, although the latter petered out a little towards the end.
Learning that you are stunning and brave, and just need to be more confident, isn't a character arc- it's recipe for a singularly unsympathetic character.
People shouldn't learn to criticise fiction *purely* through a postmodern lens. That shit may have some validity, but it's poison for aspiring creatives. Learning about Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey or Trey Parker and Matt Stone use of the "but" or "therefore" rule, would serve many younger writers far better.
I feel sorry for many of the writers, directors and actors. One of the reasons for getting younger screenwriters in is so that the talentless boards of executives can effectively write by committee.
