'Mean Girls' And 'Mamma Mia!' Actress Amanda Seyfried Attempts To Provide Clarity About Posts Condemning Charlie Kirk
Mean Girls and Mamma Mia! actress Amanda Seyfried walked back posts condemning Charlie Kirk including one that insinuated he was to blame for his own assassination.
In her Instagram stories, Seyfried shared a post from user @rudyfrancisco, which appears to be a clear reference to Kirk. The post stated, “You can’t invite violence to the dinner table and be shocked when it starts eating.”
In a comment on one of her Instagram posts, she also wrote, “He was hateful.”
After these comments circulated online, numerous individuals flooded Seyfried’s most recent posts with comments such as “RIP Charlie,” and “I really thought you were a decent human being. RIP Charlie,” and “Forever Charlie is hero.”
She then posted what she described as a clarification on her views. First, she wrote, “I don’t want to add fuel to a fire. I just want to be able to give clarity to something so irresponsibly (but understandably) taken out of context. Spirited discourse- isn’t that what we should be having?”
Along with this she shared an image that states, “We’re forgetting the nuance of humanity. I can get angry about misogyny and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk’s murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable. No one should have to experience this level of violence. This country is grieving too many senseless and violent deaths and shootings. Can we agree on that at least.”
Of note, she did not issue an apologize or really provide any clarity for the Instagram Story post which insinuated that Kirk was responsible for his own assassination. She also did not address her comments claiming that he was “hateful.”

"Irresponsibly taken out of context" aka the good old "I did nothing wrong, its you who is out of thouch". Get lost. Oh and here, try this on for size: "You can't say evil s***t at the dinner table and be surprised if your guests are leaving."
No quarter.
They've been getting away with wink-nudge incitement for so long, they don't even realize they are doing it anymore.
