All due respect to a legend, but that's not a great cover, it's not even a good one. #1000 requires, however dubiously the issue counting arrived at it, an absolute legend of a cover.
If the piece in question has to be explained, it's the wrong piece.

There's still time to put together something better, but I doubt Marvel even has the vision to source something inspiring. One only needs to look at the hideous graphic design elements on top of the cover art to know the task is beyond them. Graphic design is actually the biggest crime here, it looks like it's meant for a scholastic children's magazine, not a groundbreaking issue in comics.
Sad that Spiderman has reached 1000 issues and I just don't care. Marvel Comics is a den of filth, Democrats, and LGBTQP garbage.
