I remember liking the first law trilogy despite it being so dark, it had two things going for it over Song of Ice and Fire: it had a little hole in it and it was actually completed. Haven’t read anything else by him, however.

The premium editions seems like a waste of money to me. The First Law trilogy was a great read. I enjoyed some of the stand alone novels too. His most recent release was okay until he pulled a George R.R. Martin and included an incest related sub-plot. Gross and unnecessary. I am one and done with that series.
