They shouldn't even have been discussing an Authority movie. No one outside of a few comics weirdos like myself knows who the Authority are. "The Justice League but they kill people" only works (if it's ever going to work) if you have four or five successful Justice League movies under your belt.
These guys keep trying to jump to DC's back catalog. I think that's partly because they've messed up too often with their big characters. But also they just don't seem to realize that no one knows or cares about Green Lantern, let alone Metamorpho or Black Canary or whoever.
Oh no, we're not going to get more of disgusting racist Viola Davis? Boo hoo hoo. Who even wanted this show? The character is awful in the comics and has been equally awful on screen.
The shows being green lit one by one, as the scripts are finished is the way it should be.
Maybe if they'd done that for the supes movies, they'd have been better.
