It is just one picture, it's not the entire plot of the movie. We haven't seen any trailers to confirm that Zelda is going to subvert Link and save him. Or maybe it will be mutual, Zelda saves Link and vice-versa. Sort of like how Zaira gets saved by her friend in book one of The Adventures of Baron Von Monocle and she in turn saves him in book 2. Zelda always has had strong roles in the series from Sheik in Ocarina of Time, to Tetra in The Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass. Also, she has a main role in the more recent Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Link has received aid from Zelda in a lot of the Zelda games but has never been subverted. We have 2 years to wait and I'm super excited.
Imagine it being your full time job to just scour the internet every morning looking for pop culture stuff to get triggered by. "Woke this." "Girlboss that." What a sad existence these guys have. By the way, there are mountains of studies that show how harmful it is for young girls to see themselves depicted as helpless damsels in everything they watch.

I don't get this complaint. Zelda is a princess, and Link is a low-ranking soldier or peasant, depending on the game. She should have a position of royal honor, and he should be in her service as one of her people. Dude is projecting modern sensitivities into a fantasy kingdom. Also, I would bet this is from early in the story where Link is just starting out on his journey. Soon, Zelda will be in trouble, and Link will mature into the hero we all know him to be. It's not a compelling story if he starts at the top of his abilities and prestige.
I just see a pic of the two of them together, but I don't know, in some ways, Link and Zelda are equally strong characters in the games, so maybe this time it's much ado about nothing?
