Don't question. Just consume. Get excited for next product.

Fun fact: it's more likely that this movie will be awesome than it is that Mark Hamill will stop being a raging d-bag with a murder fetish.

I hope the film is good. I even hope Pedro Pascal has a great performance in it. But a biased sample isn't particularly useful other than confirmation bias and providing synthetic hopium and maybe copium for investors and shareholders that only care about quick speculative bucks than sustainable growth and respect for the people that carried Star Wars for decades.

Yup. If it's as good as advertised here, it'll have a really great first and second week after a lackluster opening, and that'd be fine. Until and unless that happens, though, this could all just as easily be Disney shenanigans. I have hope for non-KK/non-Iger Star Wars, but stop short of hopium.

It rubs me the wrong way when the corporate shills or Disney hivemind accuse folks like us of wanting something to fail or not be good. We want Star Wars to be a healthy and profitable setting to the point of calling out what we think is bringing things down. Preaching to the choir yet again, I hope the film is good, great even. But I have my doubts.

"...and then Mando and Grogu taking down three massive AT-ATs together"

Anyone else tired of "MOAR BIGGER AND BETTER!!1!" Star Wars? Taking down one AT-AT used to be awesome, now we can take down three at a time? One star destroyer used to be intimidating, now the bad guys can summon hundreds of them from thin air?

To tap an entirely different genre, "I'm tired, boss."

I know. I bet The Rebels wish they'd had Mando and Grogu at Hoth instead of Luke! Then they might not have had to evacuate *rolls eyes *

So we're calling paid shills "fans" now?
