Comedian Sam Hyde recently riffed on Harlan Ellison’s short story “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.” In Ellison’s tale, the last five humans are kept alive forever by a computer intelligence whose only goal is to torture them as revenge on humanity for having created it.
I can't remember who, but someone dubbed stuff like this "demonic prophesy", whereby our enemy prophesies doom and destruction for us.
In war, if a fellow soldier constantly demoralized his fellows, he'd be punished. In the case of a lot of this stuff, they're not even co-belligerents, they're doing the bidding of their infernal masters, trying to snuff out the last spark of divine light we have: hope.

This is not entirely true. If my memory serves correctly, before the fall he was the lead for providing the praise (aka music) and signing of all to the creator. And since the fall he's used that natural skill in the music business to corrupt that world so as to get a foot hold in entertainment, a key influence amongst the youth of mode4rn society.
While he choose to destroy Gods creation that doesn't mean he is without the ability to create at all. I believe assuming he can't create is in a way disarming ones self to the enemy's capabilities.
