Nathan Grayson's original article is also an outright hot mess trying to attach the state of South Africa as if it had a bearing on anything when it also states the actual cause:
"We were trying to get our narrative director to come [to SGF] as well, but she's going to Sweden, and basically her passport was stuck in Kenya at the Swedish embassy, because the Swedish embassy doesn't have an embassy in South Africa,”
So in essence this was just an European/South African embassy cock up with the passport documentation and has nothing to do with the US admin to begin with!
