I wouldn't have minded back in 2002, if Robert Patrick and Annebeth Gish would follow-up Mulder & Scully in season 10. But now to be honest, I am not so sure if I want to see either of them.

I watched an episode or 2 of the revival and really did not like the way they changed the direction of the main story threads (avoiding spoilers there). of I was ok with Patrick and Gish, but really have no desire to see the latest version. In my mind it is going to be like the Kolchak reboot, a couple of easter eggs and none of the soul of the original.

My problem is not the soft reboot itself, but that I have very mixed feelings about Coogler. "Creed" was a great film, but "Sinners" was meh, and the Wakanda films were kinda stupid, especially the second one. As for the alleged competition, I don't see it yet. If it ever comes to season 12 or a final movie about the remaining threads in the Mulder/Scully arc, Carter is intelligent enough to weave them around Coogler's expansion… and Coogler himself at least seems reverent enough not to mess with what Carter has set up in season 10 & 11.

Ryan Coongler bores me.
