A video game analyst claims that early sales and performance numbers for Assassin’s Creed Shadows indicate the game “is NOT the silver bullet Ubisoft needs.”This Substack is reader-supported.
It's their own platform and their own game, meaning they get the full revenue and price people into their ecosystem.
Keep in mind that when publishers say "sold" they mean shipped + digital, so we don't want to hear about "sold" on Day 3 anyway since that just means the initial launch shipment. We wouldn't know the sell through pace. Once they get requests from more shipmeents worldwide, then their sold figures give a better indication.
The game reached the highest concurrent playercount on Steam of any AC game.
VGC reported it had the 2nd Biggest Launch in Franchise History based on data they've seen. And that it had the highest ever day one launch for any Ubisoft game on the PlayStation digital store.
Ludostrie journalist Oscar Lemaire reports it sold over Sold Over 120,000 Units in France at Retail. Which is their biggest non-Nintendo game retail launch since Hogwarts Legacy.
Mostly Positive reviews from people who played it on Steam. Over 4/5 on both Playstation and Xbox player reviews, etc.
Everything indicates it is doing quite well.
Also, when you add insults like "Leftards", it sounds like you don't think your argument is strong enough to speak for itself.
First, I meant Playstation Plus has the Classics included, but wasn't sure if it was Xbox or Playstation.
Second you even confirm it's a "half truth" by admitting it's NOT Sales.
Third the game has about 65,000 at max on Steam, which is LESS the even the trash Dragon Age Failguard.
Lastly I call Leftards for what they are, retărded. You can't Gaslight me into thinking me insulting people who deserve to be insulted makes my FACTS any less true.......
10 million sales sounds like a far cry from where they're at currently. 2 million players, as the article points out, does not equate to sales. Considering things will only drop off over time, this bodes ill for Ubisoft. They'll be lucky if they break even. VERY lucky.
Well he did say he's trying to steer the AC series through this. That could be through lower development costs (doubtful), a higher retail price tag, or things like microtransactions (which have generally not felt forced or unimportant), DLC, etc.
2 Million Players?
Doesn't Ubisoft have thier "Game Pass" included into Xbox Game Pass? So is that 2 Million SALES, or just downloads?
They are lying to you and giving you a "Half Truth", just like ALL Leftards do........
Ubisoft+ is NOT included in Game Pass in any way.
