Martin Gero’s new Stargate series is dead. Amazon MGM Studios confirmed the cancellation today, less than seven months after giving the show a series order in November 2025.
The decision to kill the project came after the show had completed a 20-week writers room and was in pre-production in the United Kingdom. Twenty weeks of writing. Locations scouted. Production underway. Then the call came.
