In other words, he was fired.

I hope he’s replaced with someone even more woke. I want season 3 to fail even harder than the first two

No no no. Not buying it. I was in corporate back in the 90s. Read the following:

“As Vernon just shared with the group, he has made the decision to leave his role as Head of TV at Amazon MGM Studios.”

Corporate speak. He was pushed out. If Vernon had sprung this decision on them, they would've written, "We are saddened to hear that Vernon will be leaving the company..." Along with some nebulous promise that he is always welcome back should he decide later to rejoin the team.

This canned response by Hopkins is essentially saying, "Vernon agreed to quit instead of being fired and thereby smearing poop on his resume."

Too late, but good nonetheless.

I would be very interested to know whether he was, in fact, fired for low ratings, or merely failed upward as so many of these woke executives do.

Glad he's out, here is hoping someone competent takes his place, or better yet, the ship sinks completely and they put it out to pasture.

One small step in the right direction; now let's see a low-rated third season for ROP and get it the WHEEL OF TIME treatment...

There were already thousands of orcs in the original trilogy.
