That Park Place isn't as bad as BiC got to be -- yet -- and they still have solid conservative talent on staff, but there are signs of trouble in other ways. Their website hasn't had functional comment management for months, and their youtube channel regularly discusses content two to three days after everyone else has already talked about it. I like some of those guys over there, but yeah, they need to mind the store, and go back to the way things used to be: fan-centered, and higher value stories rather than "more content".
Wow. This is some powerful "sh*t." No joke. "If you don't like my book, don't read my book." - while "drinking" - Milkshakes. F these Satanists. Upgrading to paid.
Last year i started to realize "The Park Place" is turning into a woke infested nest, I left December last year, Fandom Pulse coupled with the hard work Kabrutus Rambo did, saved me thousands of dollars in games and media that was either SBi or woke bullshiite infected, keep on keeping Fandom Pulse, fight the good fight my brothers and sisters in Christ
Not surprised with most articles being 2-3 days behind other outlets, and the AI lists; too bad, I enjoyed roasting RINGS OF PUTRID in the comments back in the day...
I didn't follow Bounding into Comics very closely, so I missed the news of the sale.
I did not, however, miss the abrupt editorial change. I always wondered what happened as I stopped clicking on their articles altogether some time ago.
Thanks for the explanation. And thanks for the original site, the original That Park Place, and this site as well.
I can't help but wonder though, is the ultimate failure of those other two websites an accidental mishandling of them, or is it deliberate destruction of opposition once it crosses a threshold of size/influence/reader retention?
How much did it cost Publisher's Desk to eliminate an alternative news source? Less than it would have to best them otherwise I bet.
If you can't beat them, buy them, gut them, betray them, and close them.
So, who's going to cave next? That park place? or is Jeremy at Geeks & Gamers going to wise up and kick Park Place out? G&G has been just critical of marvel, disney, and lucasfilm as anyone.
I knew that Bounding Into Cowshit was dying when they started having those "listicle" articles where some black dude and some white broad wrote "articles" that were nothing more than lists and they were roundly mocked by the regular commenters. I stopped going to the site because of a glitch - I could still post comments, but no one could see them. At least I thought it was a glitch. Every site should know this - once you cut off a visitor's ability to contribute to the discussion, they'll stop coming. That's why I never go to Patt McGroin's Cosmic Book Snooze. That anti-free speech zero stripped multiple people of their ability to comment, yet he let this one woman who actually used the hard R N-word stay on board. Absolute hypocrite.
I still go to That Park Place, but it's nowhere near as good as Fandom Pulse and Jeremy from Geeks & Gamers is a 100% compromised closet Liberal.
I have proof of God. I think Trent and everyone else would be wise to check out my substack.

Congratulations. It was inevitable.
No one beats John Trent and John Del Arroz.

Their comments section is horrid. There is no notification system to let you know that someone replied to your comment. That's inexcusable in 2026.

Keep doing what you’re doing, Jon and John. And don’t end up like Bounding Into Comics. Used to love going there, until Publisher Desk showed up.
Shutting down conservative media is a feature, not a bug. They buy to kill, not to profit. Never sell Fandom Pulse!
I noticed Bounding Into Comics suddenly fall off, and I stopped going there without even knowing this behind the scenes stuff. Now it makes sense.
Well said...
So, what's left in this space? Fandom Pulse, That Park Place, and Bleeding Fool?
I'm wondering this as well, though Bleeding Fool is also going downhill if the latest article here is anything to go by.

Matthew 16:26 NIV
What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

Well, this blows. BiC was the first media news site worth a damn I stumbled across. Thank fuck I was able to find this place.
Well, more will pop up in time to take its place. There's a rising demand for news free of clownworld bullshit, after all.
