The TDS is strong with this one. "I don't know if violence is the answer; I don't think it is" means that he'll be fine letting it happen and then excusing his lack of action after the fact. These people gaslight themselves, wring their hands for a minute, and then go on with their lives, leaving bodies in their wake.
There is the CS Lewis notion that we no longer kill witches not because we're all enlightened. But because we don't think it works. After all, if some women truly were traitors to the human race, then yes, killing them would be reasonable.
From the writer's pov, he would CLAIM to believe normal white people were traitors to civilization.
The problems with this are two fold.
1. Its not true. Your MAGA guy is not a Nazi or a white supremacist. The artist should know this. Likely he does know this.
2. Even if someone's a white supremacist, it doesn't justify doing anything to them. Not in America because Freedom of Conscience. Not anywhere because really what does it matter?

Is breaking my nose justified because I have an opinion? Nooooooooo.
So then we go back to 'are these guys doing criminal behavior?' Probably yes. I have not read the comic, but it would be poor propaganda if they were not guilty of something.
At which point we ask, what is the appropriate response by Batman to a violent criminal thug? Well, we know this already. We've all read dozens of Batman comics. We've all seen him NOT kill the Joker who has done far worse things.
Also, of course, we have the question as to whether the supposed villains were actually being villainous? You are allowed to citizen arrest criminals. You are allowed to shoot criminals or use other forms of extreme violence on criminals in certain situations.
If in order to restrain an Illegal Alien violence becomes neccessary because they refuse to submit to your lawful authority of using a citizen's arrest, then that is on the Illegal Alien.
